Creating videos is something I thoroughly enjoy and excel at. Many of the videos I’ve produced have been used on social media, television, the web and special events.

Here is what I believe makes up quality video content:

    1. Authentic story-telling – viewers can see right through a scripted message
    2. An emotional connection – a good video draws the viewer in
    3. Extra close attention to detail – everything from audio levels to transitions
    4. Simplicity is powerful – too many effects can often take away from the message
    5. Shorter is better – yes stories and messages need time to unfold but be mindful of your medium

Award Winners

Blue Christmas

Few things make me happier than the Christmas season so producing a video about Christmas is even better! In 2016, we spun the collegiate Christmas spirit around and showed what life was like on campus after our students left for the winter break. Special thanks to President Michael T. Victor for his role in this video. The video won a Gold Addy in 2017

Meet Luke the Laker

The arrival of Mercyhurst’s new mascot, Luke the Laker was not only exciting to witness but even more fun to document. This is his intro video I produced that ended up winning “Best in Show” at the 2016 Erie Advertisement Awards and a Bronze at the 2016 Telly Awards

One Color Can Change Your Life

“One Color” was a video that created to evoke emotion from Mercyhurst Lakers past, present and future. The video won a Bronze at the 2016 Telly Awards and helped to re-ignite school spirit and pride into the hearts of many.

Features and For Fun

The Night Before Christmas at Mercyhurst

“T’was the night before Christmas and all through the halls of Old Main…”
This video project is a great example of a collaborative effort between our writer (Sean Cuneo), our illustrator (Angela Zanaglio) and our director/editor (Ben Friesen). This video was emailed out to the entire university as part of the annual President’s Christmas video card.

Special Events

Buhl Park 100 Year Centennial Celebration

What better way to remember a special event than to capture it all on video? This video was produced for the Buhl Park in Hermitage, Pa as part of their 100 yr. centennial closing celebration.

Stories of life-change are the most rewarding and fulfilling videos to produce. At church, the video was played just before Deon got baptized.
